Articoke...

This is a piece i'm doing for the company Christmas party! something to actually get me mixing paints and doing more traditional pieces once again. In some ways it was really therapeutic, but in other ways it was just frustrating to get exactly what I wanted when I wanted. But it is definitely a good discipline to have and I'm excited to reopen this chapter of my life!

P.S. the best part of this whole experience was actually creating the frame for the canvas! I've seen it done in a lot of gallery work, so i'm really glad I was able to pull it off :)

Imaginary Dam

Ok this is the last utopia futuristic piece I will do for a long time! promise haha... I always like playing with the idea of architectural structures that seem to defy the balance of gravity. In this piece the building is braced between two monolithic natural boulders and a single brace on the bottom.

Silhouette girl

I just got off the airplane this morning on my way back home from LA when i noticed a girl with an awesome silhouette she had a bob cut hair, a scarf highlighting her neck and a dress with the shape of an hourglass. In this piece I wanted to play with soft and hard edges after being inspired from Zhaoming Wu's work.
